2025 Graduates

For the 3rd year in a row, AMS students participated in the Nat Geo/Oklahoma Alliance for Geographic Education Slingshot Project!
Students were challenged to create a one-minute video highlighting an issue impacting their community, state, or world.
Out of around 90 entries, Maci Lehr, Serenity Reed, Liberty Brinkley, and Addie Rankin won 3rd place in the state of Oklahoma with their video Fast Fashion! 👗🌍
Their project raised awareness about how fast fashion harms the planet through pollution and waste while encouraging donating clothes and shopping pre-owned.

🇺🇸 In observance of Memorial Day, all Alva Public Schools offices will be closed on Monday, May 26th.

Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Hada partnered up for a hands-on, minds-on Dream House project for the 8th grade class that blended math, writing, and creativity in the best way!
In math class, students designed their dream homes using a variety of shapes, measured and calculated the square footage with a scale factor, and mapped out furniture and property layouts. Then, they took their blueprints to Mrs. Hada’s class, where they used descriptive writing to generate AI images of their houses.
With those images, students became real estate agents—creating flyers, calculating a home price based on the average price per square foot in the city they chose, and writing descriptions to persuade buyers.
Secret judges voted on 2 winners for each of Mrs. Collins’ class periods, choosing based on their creativity, neatness, and persuasion from their real estate flyers.
The winners are: (L to R)
Ember Andrews, John Thoma, Graham Goss, Lexi Percival, Parker Grimsley, Harper Williams, Emma Eckhart.
