Lincoln Staff & Students Hope You Had a Wonderful Halloween! 🎃

Harper Houston , Alva HS Student Council President, and the Oklahoma Association of Student Councils State Vice-president will be finishing her term in office at the OASC State convention this weekend in Bartlesville at the OASC State Convention. Harper, who was selected for office one year ago, has spent her year serving the OASC by representing the state at the National Vision Leadership Conference, the Basic Leadership Workshops, and by presenting her own platform, the OASC Playbook. The leadership Harper has shown this year during her term has inspired so many others to grow in their leadership, not only at AHS, but across the state. She has represented AHS well and we wish her luck this weekend.
Alva HS will be taking 25 delegates to the convention this year where they will be assisting Harper in leading the 1700 delegates in several roundtable discussions and encouraging her as she leads the convention from the stage.

Yesterday’s strong winds took down a large tree at Lincoln, but thanks to the quick response and efficient removal by the City of Alva, the area was clear and safe by noon. We’re so grateful for their hard work and support!

🎃Come & visit WECC’s pumpkin patch! All proceeds will benefit Washington students - from purchasing classroom activity materials, paying for field trips, and hopefully providing a shade structure for our playground one day!
🎃 Thank you Jackson Pumpkin Acres for donating the pumpkins

🌟Great job to our students for being selected by their teacher for showing PRIDE for the month of September.

Our students who collected $100 or more had the fun opportunity to choose a teacher to pie in the face—and they definitely enjoyed it! 🥧 We want to extend a big 'Thank You' to everyone who supported our Math-A-Thon. It was a huge success

Four Longfellow students were selected for a special Ride-Along with the Alva Police Department based on the GOTCHAS they earned! These students—Jackson Lee, Allison Mustard, Jayda Cunningham, and Wyatt Sagner—enjoyed a ride in a police pickup with SRO Tim Clapp and SRO Jayce Cline. As a bonus, they were treated to a drink from Rialto. Congratulations to these students for demonstrating outstanding behavior!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS! 🎉 Congratulations to Ms. Coon's 1st Grade Class for being the first to spell out the full 'Attendance Matters' message!
At WECC, classes work to fill their 'Attendance Matters' chart, earning a letter each day that all students are present. The goal is to celebrate and encourage consistent attendance. Ms. Coon's class currently has the best Average Daily Attendance Percentage—way to go! Keep up the great work!

Did you notice the downtown crosswalks? Members of the AHS Student Council volunteered their time to paint the crosswalks in preparation for the NWOSU and AHS homecoming festivities.
