🎉💖 Mrs. Thomas' class had a fun-filled Valentine's Day celebration! 💖🎉
The students learned how to make heart-shaped quesadillas and indulged in some scrumptious chocolate mug cakes! 🍽️🍫 It was a day full of creativity, laughter, and tasty treats. 🧑🍳❤️ Thank you to the Woods County Extension office for letting us borrow their heart-shaped cookie cutters and Mrs. Hurst for letting us use your FACS kitchen.
Happy Valentine's Day from our class to yours! 💌

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Week, one of our classes had a special guest reader from OG&E! 🌟 She shared an inspiring children's story about Dr. King and even gifted our library a free copy of the book! 📖💙
A huge thank you to OG&E for this wonderful partnership and for helping us celebrate the legacy of Dr. King in such a meaningful way

🌟Josie Melton's "flamboyant" victory at the AMS Spelling Bee has us all in awe! 🌟 She, along with runners-up Jaydia Green and Anna Kelly, showcased their exceptional spelling skills through five challenging rounds. Best of luck to Josie as she prepares for the online test to qualify for the regional bee on March 8 at OCCC in OKC. Keep shining bright!

🌱🔬 Exploring Life & Reproduction!
8th-grade science students at Alva Middle School took a deep dive into the fascinating world of life cycles and reproduction strategies! 🎓✨ They researched a plant or animal of their choice, exploring how these organisms ensure their genetics are passed on to future generations. Students then showcased their findings through engaging presentations, demonstrating their knowledge of survival, adaptation, and the science of reproduction.
