Dear Parent/Guardian,
The government shutdown is creating uncertainty for many families in our community. I want to reassure families that even if SNAP benefits are temporarily disrupted, your child will continue to receive free or reduced priced meals based on their current eligibility status.
Also, if your financial situation or household income has been impacted by the shutdown as a result of furloughs or layoffs, we encourage you to submit a free and reduced priced meal application reflecting your current household situation. To complete an application, please visit your child’s Student Records Portal in Sylogist for the application or contact Mrs. Pannell at Lincoln Elementary for an application and guidance on completing the application. Her phone number is 580-327-3008 ext. 401 or email at krpannell@alvaschools.net.
